I’ve known veterans of many wars.

One in particular inspired this sentence as I watched them struggle deeply with flashbacks & suppressed grief:

Love, it's okay
we don't have to live this way
Love, it's okay
I see God in you every day....

The first lyrics of this song, Grieve My Love, came forth a few days after the passing of my cousin in 2024.

The finishing lyrics came months later when witnessing the same grief I felt (and suppressed) mirrored almost identically in another.

They are mirrors.

Discord arises when we mistake them as windows.

May we all honor to the best of our abilities, this tight-rope walk between realms. We’ve certainly made a spectacle of things here.
