Flashing in the roaring black of night, whether ships pass by matters not. The light is always on. Ask the ocean, the cliff, the lighthouse, if it bares a message for you. Are you guiding away from the rocks, or guiding inward to your cove? A place of mysteries and wonder, tourists flock, but not on days like this. Days where rain pours and visibility wears the veil of mist... these are my favorite days to visit you. Some shorelines are made for physical nakedness and sunshine, but this one requests a nakedness of the soul and mind. If you stand on the waters edge, close your eyes, and tilt your head up, the rain and negative ions baptize. I came here with him when we were kids. We took shelter from a storm in this cove. We stood exactly where I write from today, 20 years later, in wonder and awe. Out here, in reverence of God’s Creation, mantras, sacred chants, are all I can think of to give. Spontaneity is the proper use of impulse. It turned a routine Sunday morning into a solo trip to see you. When I die, scatter my ashes in the cyan silver ethers of the Northern Pacific Ocean. But the time for that is not yet. I want to be free enough and brave enough to truly live, first. The essence of what I seek is Freedom’s flow. A routine morning coffee run turned into an answered impulse. I did not question it, or wonder it practical. I told no one. I just drove. I love this. I love to fly, discover, roam, and write cliffside poetry, while gazing upon living metaphor.

Great stuff. Always loved the Upper Left coastline. Don’t know about asking the lighthouse though. Humans don’t have that eternal component the sea athe rocks and those beautiful coastal trees do, and we’re good at rejecting or ignoring the nurturing components we have. That means your lighthouse may be leading you where you don’t want to be…
